Brownstein breaks fundraising record, gains momentum as election day approaches

State Democrats believe that 2020 may be the year in which they finally flip the Lowcountry. Daniel Brownstein is key to that.

Brownstein, the Democratic candidate for South Carolina’s House District 112, recently broke a fundraising record for the district, raising $71,517.22 from over six hundred contributions to his campaign in the fiscal period that ended on October 14th. For reference, during the 2018 election cycle, candidates of the Charleston district raised a combined $59,514 — twelve thousand dollars less than Brownstein’s newly-set individual record per Ballotpedia

While Brownstein’s financial success is impressive on its own, in contrast with his Republican opponent, the numbers bode extremely well for November 3rd. Joe Bustos, the Republican candidate for House District 112, raised just over six thousand dollars in the same period, four thousand of which was a personal contribution from the candidate.

This record-setting quarter confirms what we’ve been saying all along: Brownstein is the right choice for the Lowcountry. The Democratic candidate has conducted a campaign built on unity and solving the real problems that face his district, and clearly voters agree with his message.

“My wife Pamela and I are a working couple who understand the difficulties of raising a family during these scary times,” Brownstein stated in a press release. “It has become clear that the partisan politics and politicians of yesterday are not serving us well. I am genuine, hardworking and am ready to hit the ground running on behalf of all our district’s residents.”

Whether he’s fighting domestic violence as a member of the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault or advocating for necessary mask ordinances to the Mount Pleasant Town Council, Brownstein has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the interests of his neighbors, not partisan politics. This makes him the right choice for the voters of House District 112 this November.
